Jardín de Cactus

Manrique’s last great work

Set in a former quarry near Guatiza, this spiralling amphitheatre garden holds around 4,500 cacti of some 450 species from around the world, staged among black volcanic gravel and stone terraces. A restored windmill crowns the top. It was the final major project César Manrique completed before his death in 1992.
