Manrique’s tribute to the island’s farmers
At the geographic heart of the island in Mozaga, César Manrique’s white sculpture built from old water tanks and boat parts honours the farmers who coaxed crops out of volcanic ash. Beside it, the Casa-Museo del Campesino recreates a traditional farmhouse with craft workshops and a restaurant serving Canarian food, a good place to try local dishes and wine.
