El Golfo & Charco de los Clicos

The emerald-green lagoon

Half of a volcanic crater sits collapsed into the Atlantic on the west coast, and inside it lies a vivid green lagoon coloured by algae, ringed by black sand and rust-red cliffs. A short walk from the fishing village of El Golfo brings you to the viewpoint. The village itself is one of the island’s best-loved spots for fresh fish lunches by the sea.
