Walk right inside a volcano

One of the easiest ways to stand inside a crater. A short, mostly flat trail crosses the lava fields of the Parque Natural de los Volcanes to the foot of the Cuervo volcano, one of the first to erupt in 1730, and leads through a gap in its wall into the crater itself. A gentle walk for most ages that gives a real sense of the eruption that buried this part of the island.
